Innovation and clean technologies day

On January 7th, 2016, Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions held a forum on innovation and clean technologies attended by some 20 representatives of businesses and organizations from across Quebec.

This event, which took place in Montréal, gave rise to informative discussions that allowed CED to engage in a constructive dialogue on the issues, opportunities and challenges faced by Quebec’s businesses and regions.

INRS conference

The participants also had the chance to hear Michel Trépanier of the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) speak about the issues and challenges involved in commercializing innovations and in improving the innovative capabilities of SMEs.

Regional showcase with the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development

The day wrapped up on a high note as the business leaders were given the opportunity to meet the Honourable Navdeep Bains on his first official visit to Montréal. Based on a speed dating format, these meetings allowed participants to chat with the Minister and tell him a little about their products. The event resulted in rich and varied discussions that were well appreciated by all.

Mission accomplished for all who took part in this day on innovation and clean technologies organized by CED!
