1) What COVID-19 relief supports are available through CED?

Regional Relief and Recovery Fund
As a regional development agency, CED implements the Rgional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) in Quebec. The RRRF is a national initiative worth more than $2 billion, including more than $280 million for Quebec. It aims at providing emergency financial assistance to SMEs and NPOs that do not have access to all the assistance they need from the government of Canada, so that they can remain operational. You can consult the eligibility criteria and submit a request online.

Canadian Seafood Stabilization Fund
Since June 22, CED is also delivering the Canadian Seafood Stabilization Fund (CSSF) in Quebec. This national initiative totals $62.5 million, including $9.1 million for Quebec. It is designed to support fish and seafood processors in meeting the costs related to COVID-19 incurred as of March 15, 2020.

2) If I am self-employed or a sole proprietorship affected by the impact the COVID-19, what other government of Canada funding programs are available for my needs?

There are several programs from the government of Canada that can support the ad hoc needs of self-employed individuals and sole proprietorships affected by the impact of COVID-19. These include:

Regular CED Programs

3) What is CED doing to help its clients with its regular programs in light of COVID-19?

CED has eased some of the criteria of its regular programs in response to the exceptional circumstances businesses are facing. For example, since April 1, 2020, CED clients can postpone by up to six months their payments against ongoing contribution agreements.

4)I have already submitted a contribution request to CED. Will the upheavals caused by COVID-19 affect how it is processed?

7) I am a client of CED, and I will not be able to complete the activities outlined in my agreement. What must I do?

CED has put flexible measures into place to accommodate its clients under the circumstances. 8) My organization has received funding from CED to organize or participate in an event (e.g., trade mission, festival, etc.) that has been cancelled. What must I do?
