List of RCMs with slow economic growth

The Agency’s mission is to promote the long-term economic development of the regions of Quebec by “giving special attention to those where slow economic growth is prevalent or opportunities for productive employment are inadequate”.

The Agency has developed an Economic Development Index that allows it to compare the economic growth potential of Quebec’s 104 regional county municipalities (RCMs).

The index determines a region’s economic development based on its assets and its ability to capitalize on them.

This list includes the 75 RCMs with slow economic growth targeted by the Agency on the basis of its Economic Development Index.
